Title: Myrtle Beach Spring Rally Under Attack

Blog Entry: We need your help in getting the word out. The annual Harley Davidson Spring Rally which draws 300,000 bikers are under attack. Myrtle Beach City just passed a ban on all permits inside the city limits for the rally. Saying that this rally attracts a bad element. I have never seen it, but in their mind it is different than every other summer day in Myrtle Beach (we have 2000 restaurants and most of them are bars). Harley has said they are going to continue the rally, since Myrtle Beach doesn't sponsor it. Most of the excitement is outside the city limits in North Myrtle Beach and Surfside areas anyway. This all came about because of the Atlantic Beach Bike Rally which brings in the sport bike crowd in Atlanic beach (which is incorporated, and have already said they will continue their rally no matter what). There also was a murder in the Atlantic Beach area of a local college kid, however the persons were caught and were locals not bikers. Total misjustice of calling us the problem for that! Their are many businesses that rely on the crowd, most of which are the bike shops and biker bars. Please help in getting the word out about this potential major setback for all bikers across the nation, whos next Laconia, Sturgis?? When you come down visit the Myrtle Beach biker bars, just don't stay in their hotels, you are not welcome. The city council don't want any bikers in their town. The government at work!! What's next, too many boats on the waterway or too may tourists vacationing here?
