This weekend Sept.11-12 We'll be set up at the Cotee River Bike Fest. We will be located at the corner of Grand Blvd. and Main Street. Look for the Big SKULL !! Hope to see y'all there, this is one of the best, just like the old Daytona used to be, only on the West, Nature Coast, with better roads, real folks and grate weather. BikeWeek 2008 disappointing to some but not those who made it ;-)
Well, what can I say - the usual ballyhoo about the weak turnout for BikeWeek 2008 started yesterday as local pundits, broadcasters, business owners & the like cried about lost fortunes from the absentees for this year's Grand harley consortium. With a little more than 4 weeks to go in 2007, it looks like there will be a decline in new motorcycle sales in the US compared to 2006. Unless of course the Sunbelt states come through with some extraordinary buying of new bikes, something like this...."Come on y'all, let's each get us jes one or two more each, and then we'll go huntin'! Milwaukee, Wis., September 7, 2007 -- Harley-Davidson, Inc. (NYSE: HOG) announced today that it expects to ship between 86,000 and 88,000 Harley-Davidson motorcycles in the third quarter of 2007. Shipments of between 91,000 units and 95,000 units were originally planned for the quarter. Shipments for the full year are expected to be in the range of 328,000 to 332,000 Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
