DoD Identifies Navy Casualties



The Department of Defense announced today the death of two sailors who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.


Chief Petty Officer Michael E. Koch, 29,of State College, Pa., and Chief Petty Officer Nathan H. Hardy, 29, of Durham, N.H., died Feb. 4, from wounds suffered from small arms fire during combat operations in Iraq. 


Both were assigned to East Coast-based SEAL teams.

The family of CPO Nate Hardy has graciously invited the PGR to stand in honor of this Hero, who gave his all while fighting the war on terror in Iraq.

 

Nate is to be buried with military honors in the hallowed grounds of Arlington National Cemetery (ANC) on Friday 15 February 2008 at approximately 1100 hours.   Planning is underway for a memorial service and family visitation (prior to the ANC service) in the Hampton Roads, VA area - home of this proud SEAL's Team, and there may be PGR participation there.  At this time, there is no mission planned for Durham, NH.

 

Please check the ANC forum for the ANC Mission plan, and check back here for other mission plans as/if they evolve.
