EXTREME HOME MAKEOVER
(repost) Wow, what a day. I just got back from the Extreme Home Makeover Location. I was completely amazed to see everything going on. The TV show does not do justice to all the work these guys and gals are doing. I was blessed to see so many people working in 30 (@ 2pm) degree weather (and I mean working) to bless the Boettcher Family. Today was day 4 and the Community Center is up and the house has its foundation and floors. Walls were going up when I left. You have to understand that when I got there they were still doing the rough plumbing, heater ducts, etc and only the footings were up. When I left 6 hours later the crews were putting up walls, the floor was done, the drive way was completely graded and ready for asphalt or whatever they use--amazing. Everyone I talked to that knows the family has been blessed by them one way or another. It is awesome to see God's love showing through all these people's efforts. One goal of Extreme Makeover is to have the mortgage paid off for the family. Looks like they are trying to raise approximately between $80 to $90,000. Lets help Preacher out! If you are able to donate or feel compelled too please do so. You can visit the site http://www.nevadaextremehome.com/ and check out pictures and read the family’s story. Another goal is to make this show the one with the largest reveal. Lets see what Nevada can do. Can we get over 17k people out there on Friday? Come on guys lets see what we can do..... God Bless you all, please continue to keep this whole build, the families and crew in your prayers.... God Bless ! Tom

I was all packed and ready to ride up there for the end of the makeover but then had some family problems and I had to stay. Wished I could have been there. I've never met Preacher but when I was cruising up north, I had a few people ask if I knew him and they told me what a great guy he is and his family too. Would have like to have shaken his hand. Maybe next time. Doc
