Show Support in Berkeley

Please come show support for our troops and for this great country, and to show the City how stupid they are.
PJ schedule a Support the Troops ride for Saturday, March 22nd, mid day. The staging point(s) have not been determine yet, but they will be outside the city limits of Berkeley. After KSU (TBD), we will proceed thru Berkeley to the Marine Corps Officer Selection Office. At this time, I'm only planning a slow roll by as that eliminates the need for a permit, and I don't know how many bikes (and cages) there will be.
The point of the ride will be to counter the City Councils horrible insult to the Corps and all Veterans by showing purely support rather than a counter demonstration. I'm asking that all MC issues pertaining to "Colors" be suspended. We are trying to show unity. If because of your club's policy, you can't wear your colors, that's fine but I will not ask anyone to not wear or show their colors. I think that the more colors shown, the more different groups, the more the Marines will be amazed, and the more the Bezerkeley City Council will see the error of their bull. We can not have any physical confrontations with anyone as any response such as that, no matter how well deserved, will give the idiots a chance to slam us, and all military on TV. Lets not play into their hands. And for those of you that know me, that kind of restraint will be the hardest on me! But we do need tons of flags flying - American and military.
I am waiting to see if a city next to Berkeley will pass a resolution supporting the military. If they do, that will be our staging area. In addition, if it's a big enough turnout, I would like to collect all receipts for gas and food purchased that day OUTSIDE of, but close to, Berkeley, that I can hand deliver to the Chamber of Commerce to show some financial impact.
Please pass this info to anyone that is breathing. I will send another email the moment we've locked on a staging area.
