The Road
Posted On 04/24/2008 23:02:21

Moon shines from high above

Shadowing the night

In shades of grey on grey

Light cuts through the night

Tunneling through the blackness

As the miles go by

Rapped in a world of wind and sound

In a brotherhood, though all alone

A spiritual high never wanting to end

Cross roads have come and gone

Whispers of promise are left behind

One true love throbbing between the legs

Barks a heart felt sound

Sky changes color

Dark of night to sun brightening of dawn

Showing the color and chrome

Loving the place called home

The road

Freedom
Posted On 04/12/2008 16:15:38

Reds and yellows, brown and greens

Sun caressing on an autumn day

Cool air, crisp and clean

Traveling the open roads

Birds , flying over head call out

River sparkles and passes under the bridge

Seeking the sea

An old man waves hello

Is he thinking of younger days?

Onward on black pathway

Farther ,farther from home

Sun is setting, cool air turns cold press onward to nowhere

For no reason to be told

But freedom to do so

When Dark Angel Rides
Posted On 04/12/2008 16:03:37

In the dark early morn

A rider went down

A brother biker

Thinking he was allow

For alone he was not

With friends

Family

He was in their thoughts

Next to him rode an angel

On a dark horse he rode

For the bikers time was near

As the biker lost control of the bike he was on

The dark angel spread his wings

Catching the young man’s soul

Sparing him pain

“Come, said death, ride beside me”

“You are to meet those who love you,

though you have not met them,

for they are of your family

of past and to be”

Into the morning light they rode

Rising from this earthly plain

Where the roads go on forever

And loved ones are always there

To greet with open arms

This is also for all the brothers and sister riders we have lost.

May they ride the roads forever with the wind in their faces.

In Everything We Do
Posted On 04/06/2008 15:02:58
Under Azer skys
warm sunshine against the face
spirit soaring as if on feathered wings
mind in the moment
living life to it's fullest

 Though roads divide
crossroads come and go
reality brings us back to the ground
the feeling lingers on
in everything we do

So days may pass
 the urge grows stronger
singing in the blood
with every heartbeat

Feeling the road
hear the pipes rumble
in everything we do

Riding Into The Sunset
Posted On 01/12/2008 09:12:53

Looking back upon the life I lived

wondered where time has gone

Spending every day getting older

working hard to earn that dollar

 we need to have

Playing around with idea's

of where to go next

Will I find that love they sing about

Will I win that big lottery

Will I have a good laugh for the day

Sitting above the cloud tops

looking down upon the crossroads

to decide the direction next to choose

So  fire up the bike

and go for a ride

Forgetting it all for a while

to get wind in the face

leaving all thoughts and worries behind

See what the day has to offer

I don't know where I'm going

but I guess I'll find out when it's time

The Distance
Posted On 01/12/2008 09:11:06

Wonderlust so hard to calm

so much to see and do

even sunrises and sunset

on mountaintops or by the sea

Stars filled skies glitter above

moonlit landscapes take your breath away

music in the wind that blows by

kissing your cheek 'til they sting

Wondering spirit

how far must you go

to see what is there to see

is far enough to find the place

to calm the soul

Unsure when that will be

but when day comes

that restlessness fades

may the memories

of days dicovered

be bright

Lead me, oh road

to my destination

though I know not where it is

Lead me forth

to adventure,landscapes,

and more

Show me what you will

upon your graded slopes

so I may enjoy the views

I have not yet seen

Blue of the sky

scattered clouds

like balls of cotten

Sun

playing hide-n-seek

 inbetween

'til night arrives

the air is chilled

feeling the need of warmth

calls me home
