No riding today! Mid-fifties and drizzly today in New England. Yuck! Had to work anyway, but my eagle eyes spotted no less than two - count 'em - TWO - bikes out and about, one of them even a Harley (alas, only a Sporty). Still, got a few Friends requests to keep my mind on riding, and to anyone who wants to be our friend, look for an email from us when we think we might be riding into your area. We have firm plans (w/ prepaid lodging - Motel 6 is camping to us!) to RIDE to the 2008 Sturgis Rally, so if you're going our way around that time, look for us! KTROTR.
My first blog entry on this site, and it's a doozy! For more blogs from this user, check out my MySpace profile, harleyrider_56. Today my honey and I went on a lovely, lovely ride through what I am sure was the most riotous foliage colors we will see this year in northern Connecticut. Not only that, but to say the weather was absolutely perfect would be an understatement! I packed all my leathers plus an extra sweatshirt, and didn't use any of it, not even my favorite unlined deerskin gloves. We left at noon and got back about 5pm, and it was perfect, perfect, perfect the entire ride. We had to take a loop into Mass for a few errands, then back into CT, took our helmets off, and didnt touch them again the rest of the day. How I wish those idiots in the Mass State House would get it into their pointed little heads that helmets don't save lives! They only cut down on hearing and peripheral vision, thereby reducing the effectiveness of active safety, which is the only real safety there is on a motorcycle. 'Nuff said about that. Now back at the ranch where real life intrudes. See you on the internet!
