I am a big old school gear head and you can blame a career in restoration/autobody for it, I have had many bikes, many muscle/pony cars and 4x4's. As of right now I am restoring an ultra rare 1970 Pontiac Formula 400 RAIII Drag Pack. I also have a Jeep Renegade now after selling my Silverado as a daily driver and a recently purchased 1996 Ford Mustang GT Premium Convertible, ofcourse these all share the garage with my custom done Sporty and the Wide tire Softail I am building now. I just can't shake the gearhead in me muchless settle my addiction for speed... lol.
Well I have been away for some time on here thanks to heavy hours at work, chores having to be caught up on around the house and working on a new toy and project......
1996 Ford Mustang GT Premium Convertible.....
Triple black in color and fully loaded. Trying to see how far I can go for a reasonable price on terms of speed, handling, comfort and keeping all options working doing it....... She reminded me of the song "Black Sunshine" and the rest is history.....
This is my fun in the mud toy and daily driver...1991 Jeep Renegade Anyway as of this moment I have a wide tire Softail frame I am in the beginning process of building with a 7 gallon stretch tank and chrome wideglide dual disc frontend and this is my custom built Sporty below using its original frame and keeping all the numbers matching. She was an original 1991 Sporty 883 I bought almost 14 years ago from a friend in need of selling it and figured I could toy around with it,but somehow toying became an obsession. I tore this Sporster down to the last bolt and rebuilt her. She use to be a stripped down super light, super skinny 1/4 bike and she whooped on both American and Metric bikes. After the fever let up I rebuilt her again but this time with heavy tin, heavy wide glide, removed the nitrous, etc. The bike's engine now has ported and polished 1200+ heads and 590 lift/242 duration cams installed, along with aftermarket notched piston she also has machined oversized valves, S&S jetted Carb, "Black" rods, rollers and also that everything is hardened so she is still nitrous ready and there is more to list that is done but you get the idea. She also has fully polished outer engine cases, outer transmission cases and outer heads. Also the bike has a nickel plated o-ring chain conversion mated to the 5-speed trans with a 4 up chrome sprocket and full chrome forward controls. Swing arm 5-dip chromed, lengthened, and widened. There is also an 11.5" Progressive suspension done to her. Her Fatboy rims are 5-dipped chromed and diamond chipped front and back, wide glide front end with drag bars, Full length Shotgun exhaust pipes, PM rotors, PM chrome calibers, chrome fluid reservoirs, chrome Arlen Ness forward controls, braided lines, etc. The fatboy front fender, rear sporttail fender and sportbob tank along with the oil tank all wear a black mirror finished paint with 7 different candy color graphics and mural all under the clear as well. There is so much to list on this bike there is no way to fit it all with the fabricating, parts, and upgrades through the years that I owned her to redo things to improve the bike, keep her reliable and correct. Future plans are to convert back to the correct pipes keeping them under 17" long and an 1 & 1/4 in diameter, I am just losing to much with the pipes I have now. I am considering a longer rake with a springer and a 21" twisted spoke. Other things on my mind is putting the Edelbrock twin bottles back on her and yes connecting them and a 6-speed trans. and of course changing the tins aswell as a stretched clean tank with no dash (I always regretted the dash). I know she is just a Sporster to some, and like I said, my ex wife cost me more and was no where as enjoyable as my bikes so who cares. She is one of the best street bikes/bar hoppers/puddle jumpers I ever enjoyed, and as for the long runs... well thats what the softail will be for....lol
My Previous Bikes
Way too many to list, So here are a few for an idea but by no way all of them.. lol This Caddy above was a STS with a Northstar and my sleeper, she ran a low mid 13's with some tweaking and reprogramming. Not a killer but an awesome punch on the streets...lol This one above I wish but no, I just love the car.... lmaooo
