I live in what is described by many as paradise. Palm trees, sunshine, beaches, and its never cold. But I am surrounded by water on three sides. If we go south, east, or west within a couple of hours you will hit ocean or the gulf. We could go north, but for eight hours all you will see is palm trees, sunshine, beaches, and water. Seems like we spend all our time trying to think of new places to ride, but we've been everywhere here. We love to head for the mountains when we can. Bad part is we can usually only get away for 3 or 4 days and it takes one full day just to get as far as my small farm in Georgia. We usually stop there for the night and head for the hills in the morning. One day in the mountains just is not enough for us, but we usually have to head back, stopping by the farm to rest again before heading back to the bottom of the world. Just two wandering souls stopping any time we spot a few bikes parked outside of a bar. Yes we do meet lots of people that way. But like us they are just escaping the normal places, or they are on a road trip, and you rarely see them again. So I take lots of pictures and hold my memories close. Soon we will be moving to Georgia, where we will be able to move in more directions and see more things. Been thinking about turning the farm into a motorcycle stop of sorts for other people on their way to explore. Just an idea now, but if anyone has any ideas or suggestions on how to make it really work let me know. And in the meantime if you come to the bottom of the world (S W Florida) drop me a message, I'm sure we can point you to some fun places to ride and to see. It really is paradise here for a visit but you wouldn't want to live here. Trust me.
